An odometer/engine hour meter is a wireless GPS device installed on the dashboard and connected to the vehicle’s electrical system. The controller has a unique GPS module allowing distance measuring according to the vehicle’s location together with GPS satellites and a starter voltage measuring system. The adapter is installed by a certified technician knowledgeable in vehicle systems.Installation includes connecting the controller to the battery’s voltage through a protective fuse and installing a GPS antenna on the dashboard towards the open skies.Distance is measured by the GPS system and the and engine hour data by the starter voltage. At the end of installation, the odometer data and engine hour data will be updated in the GPS controller, and updated once more while starting the engine and driving.
Satellite CommunicationThe GPS controller includes VIU data installed on the fueling nozzle, required for verification when fueling. The station’s SCT controller will send the VIU and odometer data – and up-to-date engine hour data. The odometer and engine hour data will help show basic consumption data based on distance and engine operation hours data.
